Our Bathroom Refresh has started!

We did it!

We finally started working on our Master Bathroom, which is also attached to our hallway half bath. Let me show you what I mean.

Isn’t she lovely?!🤣 I mean, once you get past the Circus meets 90’s Christmas movie vibes, she really isn’t that bad! Besides, how many people have conversation toilets?!

Bathroom Plan

The overall goal for this space is to turn it into one large Master bath. In order to do this, we will take one of the closets from the connecting bedroom, along with the hallway bath, to enlarge the space. It maybe a few years before we can make that dream a reality so here’s what we plan to do for now.

Phase One Bathroom Refresh

We are going to update what we have with a small, budget friendly refresh. Honestly, this is right up our alley and I’m really excited to play with what’s already there.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m dying to rip it all out and create the bathroom of my dreams, but I’m also very familiar with using what I’ve got to create something beautiful. Paint alone can transform a space and I’m excited to see what kind of difference it will make in here.

Step one of this refresh started this weekend when Tony started priming the walls. Needless to say, four coats of Kilz later and we still haven’t started painting!

Walls with Kilz Primer

There are a few areas on the wall that have started lifting so I’ll have to scrape, prime again and make sure the walls are fully prepped before applying the actual paint color.

I’ll be sharing the progress on our Instagram and TikToc accounts so be sure to follow so you don’t miss a thing.

For now, I’m playing around with possible color schemes and gathering ideas. I’m also updating our Amazon Storefront and LTK with bathroom finds! We currently do not have a towel rack or toilet paper holder! We are also in need of storage solutions and definitely some new hardware.
