Fun fact, although I am an Army wife and have moved 10 times over the last 19 years, I was born and raised in Fayetteville North Carolina! Since moving back, I have been on a personal mission to re-discover my hometown. As I do so, I thought I would share some of my favorite finds, starting with the best thrift stores I’ve found so far.
First on the list, Timely Treasures! This privately owned thrift store, gets their inventory from estate sales and it changes daily! They have a great selection of furniture and home décor at reasonable prices and have won “Best Thrift Store” four years in a row, from Readers Choice.
This is the same thrift store I purchased my vanity from, which is one of my favorite thrift store flips to date! You can see the step by step process on my Instagram, saved to my highlight or watch the quicker version in my reels.
1003 Honeycutt Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28311
You can follow them on Facebook to see when new inventory comes in AND they offer a 10% military discount to all active duty/retired and family members with ID.
*** If you are not military, mention my name, Lisa Medina, or this blog and post, and they will give you 10% off of your entire purchase.
These Christian owned thrift stores give back to the Orphans of Kenya Project! They have many locations, with 8 close to Fayetteville and Fort Bragg. They have been my go to for baskets and other smaller décor for my on post home. These stores get new donations daily and have a variety of clothing, excellent prices and sales.
They also offer a 10% military discount!
Below you will find the information for the ones I check out often.

I will have to be honest, this is a thrift store that I often overlook. Like all thrift stores, its hit or miss, but the last time I stopped by, I scored big! I got this beautiful vintage piece (the basket table by the chair) at an incredible price…so its back on the list!
You can find them at 220 E Russell St. Fayetteville, NC 28301, right by our downtown so make a day of it and enjoy the area.
Ps: I’ll be sharing my favorite restaurants and things to do here soon!
Not a typical thrift store but definitely worth the stop if you are into DIY and home Reno! They also get new inventory in all the time and even have a section you can order cabinets from!
They often carry scrap wood, great for DIY’s and they do have a section of home décor and new furniture marked down.
Here are a few more stores, I didn’t have photos of but are totally worth checking out!
Spring Lake, NC · In Cedarwood Shopping Center (910) 497-0011
Think over stock items, party supplies and cleaning supplies! They even have material they can cut by the yard. Its a place I stop from time to time and usually walk out with something.
2637 Kim St, Fayetteville, NC 28306
3333 N Main St Suite 110, Hope Mills, NC 28348 (910) 374-7690
This place is small but I have scored some great finds here before.
I hope this post helps you find some treasures of your own! If you know of an amazing thrift store in the area that wasn’t mentioned in this post, share it in the comment section below.
As our area expands and new stores pop up, I will add them to this post as a good reference the next time you want to thrift.
With Love,
Lisa Faye
